As you may have noticed SMI has been on a bit of a hiatus in the last couple of months. With a new day gig and the holidays upon us, I decided to step back from the music scene for a bit and take a break. I promise that I will be back with more coverage of the local and national music scene in and around the Emerald City. I hope that you had a safe and joyful holiday season. Last year was a great year for music. I had the opportunity to cover some great musical events in 2010. Some highlights included the Imagine A Cure Concert featuring Alan White and Roger Daltrey, Synergia 2010 that featured Alan and former member males from the legendary Heart. In addition, I had the opportunity to cover and discover some great new Northwest talent at the Comcast Bite of Seattle. The music season was capped off with an incredible 3 days of music at Bumbershoot.

2011 promises to be another stellar year for music in the Northwest and I will do my best to cover as much as I can.  SMI Radio will be back for another season of episodes featuring artists from all over of many different genres of music.

I want to thank you for the encouraging words and support of what we are doing here as well as your support of some of the greatest talent anywhere in and around Seattle. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
