Touring in support of their latest release, Planet Zero, Shinedown made a stop at the Angel of the Winds Arena during their The Revolutions Live Tour.

Shinedown (Brent Smith (vocals), Zach Myers (guitar), Eric Bass (bass) and Barry Kerch (drums)) have been consistently putting out solid hard rocking albums and their live performances only seem to get better and better each time they tour.

As always, the venue was filled with people from many walks of life who came out to see one of the best live bands perform for over two hours. Shinedown’s stage show is always incredible – from the lighting to the pyro and of course the musicianship of the band, Shinedown is always on point and they always deliver a solid performance.

The stage set had a large video screen behind Kerch’s drum set, with a large catwalk that made its way down the center and most of the length of the arena. With “Welcome” and “2184” playing through the sound system along with a video montage on the video screens, the band made their way onto the stage, acknowledged the crowd, and then proceeded to get their set started with “Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom),” which saw Smith and Myers making their way up and down the catwalk.

The band then proceeded to jump into “Dead Don’t Die,” which had a good amount of pyro. As the song wrapped up and the house lights went down, a piano descended from the rafters and was placed at the front end of the catwalk. Bass took his place at the piano and the band performed “I’ll Follow You”. With Smith joining Bass and Myers performing on top of the piano, the rendition was spot on.

Shinedown’s set was packed full of fan favorites and some of their most popular tracks – “Bully”, “Unity”, “Sound of Madness”, “Second Chance”, “Cut The Cord” and of course their incredible rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man”.

If you haven’t checked out a Shinedown concert, they should be on your list of must see shows because they always put on a fantastic set.

Opening the show was From Ashes to New followed by 3 Days Grace.
