The Seattle retro rock outfit The Mama Rags know how turn up the heat in a live setting. It is all about the drums, bass, guitars and soulful vocals delivered with an in-your-face attitude that says: “This is who we are, this is what we do and if you don’t like it, sod off!” Beneath the attitude and semi-glam image lie some serious chops that pay homage to a treasured blues-based rock art form.

The band is getting ready to release its newest joint, Hectic Electric which will drop next week. The boys will be celebrating the release of the new record with a special performance on June 20 with Hobosexual and Hand of The Hills at Tractor Tavern.

Tickets are available here.

In the meantime, kick back and enjoy their version of the Chuck Willis classic, “CC Rider” performed live at Columbia City Theater.
