Capitol Hill Block Party 2019 Lineup Announcement

Lizzo at Capitol Hill Block Party 2017

It’s finally festival announcement season, and frankly – we can’t wait for what Seattle’s local festivals have to offer this year.

First out the gate (we’re not counting End of the Rainbow Fest just quite yet) was Capitol Hill Block Party with a fire lineup that’s surely going to sell out at least one of the days. We’ve got a home run with headliners Lizzo, Phantogram, and RL Grime.

The lower listed bands are chock full of local acts like The Black Tones, Wild Powwers, OK Sweetheart, Jason McCue, Hoshin, Spesh, The Spider Ferns, Sloucher, Romaro Franceswa, Scarlet Parke, Mirrorgloss, and Dreamcatchr to name just a handful. With the absence of both the Sasquatch Festival and Upstream in 2019, Capitol Hill Block Party will for sure be the largest spring/summer festival in the Seattle area before Bumbershoot. We’re just itching to get back out into that summer weather for three packed days of music.

The full lineup is listed below along with the announcement poster. Tickets are on sale now for CHBP, on July 19-21st.

Abby Williamson is a photographer, writer, and video blogger with a passion for live music – especially the local scene. She recently moved to Seattle after commuting from Gig Harbor for shows an average of once a week for five years, so she’s happy to not have to drive as much and photograph even more concerts! When she’s not elbowing her way up to the front row at a show or sorting through thousands of photos of those shows, Abby also does freelance wedding photography, all the while cultivating a decent-sized following on YouTube. Abby has contributed to several music blogs over the last five years (and she’s really excited to join the SMI team!), and has been published in at least one album booklet for the band, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. She would like people to know that while music photography and writing is a huge passion in her life – she is a fan first, photographer second.
