Day In Day Out Festival 2022 Kicks off at Fisher Pavilion with indie heavy hitters Mitski, Mac Demarco, and The National

Day In Day Out Festival 2022 Lineup

Day In Day Out Festival, produced by Daydream State – who also produces Capitol Hill Block Party – kicks off their second annual festival with a heavily indie rock lineup. Headliners Mitski, Mac DeMarco, and The National, harken back to the early days of CHBP, as well as the dearly departed Sasquatch Festival, which ended back in 2018.

The fest starts tonight at Fisher Pavilion in the Seattle Center, and continues through the weekend with The National closing out the festival. Other national artists gracing the Seattle Center stage are Japanese Breakfast, Animal Collective, Cherry Glazerr, JPEGMafia, Turnstile, and Soccer Mommy.

To accompany the national artists, over a dozen local artists will be showcased at DJ sets throughout the weekend.

With a lineup like this only in the second year, we can’t wait to see what they come up with in the years to come, especially since many festivals have moved towards more dance and electronic heavy lineups in recent years.

Abby Williamson is a photographer, writer, and video blogger with a passion for live music – especially the local scene. She recently moved to Seattle after commuting from Gig Harbor for shows an average of once a week for five years, so she’s happy to not have to drive as much and photograph even more concerts! When she’s not elbowing her way up to the front row at a show or sorting through thousands of photos of those shows, Abby also does freelance wedding photography, all the while cultivating a decent-sized following on YouTube. Abby has contributed to several music blogs over the last five years (and she’s really excited to join the SMI team!), and has been published in at least one album booklet for the band, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. She would like people to know that while music photography and writing is a huge passion in her life – she is a fan first, photographer second.
