Fremont is gonna be groovin’ this Wednesday when San Juan Island’s very own SWAY WILD and the queens of Milwaukee/Nashville SistaStrings hit the Nectar Lounge stage in Seattle before heading out to The Gorge for the big “Echoes Through the Canyon” weekend with Joni Mitchell – where SWAY WILD’s Mandy Fer will join Allison Russell and SistaStrings reunites with Brandi Carlile.

SWAY WILDthe Indie Folk rock duo Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer sail into Seattle with new music truly from wild places. They navigate the corners of rock, folk, pop, jazz, prog, and funk. Mandy’s low rich vocal tones merged with her unbelievable electric guitar work and Dave’s drumming with syncopated abandon will definitely hit you in the feels!

“Grooving…wistful, driving, and a masterful combination…velvety vocals over staccato guitar and light percussion capture your attention with Sway Wild.”  – Parade Magazine

“…roots trailblazers Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer continue their upward stride towards artistic nirvana….scintillating…” – PopMatters

SistaStrings: the Milwaukee-bred sisters Monique & Chauntee Ross spent their entire music education not quite fitting into any particular mold so… they broke it! Their church influences and improvisational ability are strong, and their sense of humor is “off the hook” which makes them high on the list of touring artists wanting to collaborate and add them to their tours. They’re frequently backing PNW fave Brandi Carlile and will be with her at The Gorge this weekend.

“I’m really excited about the Seattle show because it’s BEAUTIFUL there. I’m a lucky lady to be able to play music in such a beautiful place while being surrounded by beautiful people!” – Monique Ross

This show is going to be something special as it’s the first of its kind. SistaStrings has had the pleasure of sharing stages with Mandy of Sway Wild as band mates supporting Allison Russell for the past year. This is the first time we’re getting together to play our individual projects! And then this show comes before both bands participate in the epic weekend at The Gorge with Brandi Carlile and Joni Mitchell. Having this moment together before we witness music history makes for a completely unique and personal experience. Music is a connector and I’m excited to connect in Seattle for SistaStrings’ first show in Washington!Chauntee Ross
