When Tuxedo takes to the stage, you can’t help but move to their grooves. Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One combined their funky and groovy sounds together by forming the band in 2015. They have continued to make music that your feet simply must dance to. This summer they played hosts to sold out crowds across the country, bringing even more boogie and disco funk to the masses with their latest release, Tuxedo III, an aptly named follow up to their Tuxedo (2015) and Tuxedo II (2017) releases. The Showbox’s floor was in motion for their entire show here in Seattle, and the rousing sound of the band’s song “Ho Button” echoed throughout the evening.
