Since their debut in 2014, Thunderpussy has proved to be a band that goes all in for each and every performance.  Be it Whitney Petty’s vibrant guitar riffs, Leah Julius’ sharp bass skills, or Molly Sides’ incredible voice and elegant dance moves, Thunderpussy has it all! And for the past few years, they’ve put on one of the best New Year’s Eve shows in all of Seattle. This year, the production has been titled The Glow of Neon Sax, and attendees are encouraged to come out dressed in their loudest neon attire.

After their stunning self-titled debut album last year the band hard at work on their sophomore album, which they’ve prefaced this year with the four song EP Milk It! (Oct. 2019) which features both “the fifth Pussy” Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.

Be sure to join the numerous rabid fans of this musical “Powerhouse” before they sell-out The Showbox’s NYE party for the third year in a row!  Also, get to the venue early and catch the openers: BEARAXE’s incredible performance at this years CHBP has made them a must see, while Constant Lovers bring their hard-edged, saxophone-tinged rock, and Trash Fire, whose crazy antics are sure to get the night into gear.

Alex Crick is a Seattle based freelance photographer specializing in music photography. His interest in photography began as a school project in the early-90′s, when he also attended many live music shows. Eventually, he combined these two interests by conveying the power and excitement of live music through the eye of the camera.
