Vance Joy Sells out Paramount twice

Like many musicians over the past few years, Australia’s Vance Joy wrote and produced new songs that gave fans many more reasons to come and see him live this tour. People packed Seattle’s Paramount Theater for two sold out nights this March for just that reason. Promoting his latest release, In Our Own Sweet Time, he brought along Australian songwriter Jack Botts, who opened this leg of the tour.

Apologizing that it took so long to return, and thankful to be back on tour, Vance played hit after hit, joking about how when he first started writing songs that they were just so bad that his friends would search for any nice words to say when he played them. From the reaction of fans, (along with record sales, online viral play success, not to mention a 5X Platinum single with his song “Riptide“), they obviously evolved into the amazing songs we know and love today. Vance was accompanied on stage by a full band, including trumpet, trombone, sax, drums, guitar & keys. Joy played guitar and even broke out the ukulele for “Saturday Sun”, allowing for a full spectrum of melodic tunes that the crowd loved. His next release will be a sixteen track live album, Vance Joy Live at Sydney Opera House, (recorded last November), and you can preorder it HERE.
